WASHINGTON U.S. Protection Secretary Jim Mattis explained on Friday that any navy resolution to the North Korea disaster would be “tragic on an unbelievable scale” and explained Washington was operating internationally to obtain a diplomatic resolution.
“We are heading to keep on to operate the challenge,” Mattis told a Pentagon news convention. “If this goes to a navy resolution, it’s heading to be tragic on an unbelievable scale. So our effort and hard work is to operate with the U.N., operate with China, operate with Japan, operate with South Korea to test to obtain a way out of this scenario.”
