BERLIN Germany’s middle-still left Social Democrats (SPD) are trailing Chancellor Angela Merkel’s conservatives, an impression poll showed on Tuesday, right after a different survey on Sunday set the SPD in advance.
The Allensbach poll, which is due to be revealed in newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung on Wednesday, showed Merkel’s conservative bloc on 33 percent – in advance of the SPD on thirty.5 percent.
The poll showed the anti-immigrant Alternative for Germany (AfD) on eight.5 percent when the far-still left Linke and the Greens were each on eight percent.
The liberal No cost Democrats (FDP) were on seven percent – higher than the 5-percent threshold needed to enter parliament.
The poll of 1,542 persons was carried out involving Feb. 1 and Feb. 15.
