Horst Mahler, after a founding member of Germany’s leftist Purple Military Faction guerrilla team in the sixties just before veering to the ultra-nationalist suitable, was detained in Sopron near Hungary’s border with Austria, on Monday, police said.
The Budapest main prosecutor said in a independent assertion that based mostly on the European warrant Mahler’s arrest was “justified”. Hungarian officers made no additional comment.
