PARIS French presidential applicant Francois Fillon accused President Francois Hollande on Thursday of getting involved in what he alleges is a federal government plot to distribute damaging media leaks about his financial affairs.
“You have newspapers nowadays which obtain files 48 hrs soon after they had been seized in queries, for example in my office environment in the Nationwide Assembly. Who gives them these files? The federal government,” he explained in a television interview.
Requested if politicians or the justice process gave acceptance for this, Fillon explained: “I will go considerably more. I blame the president of the republic.”
