VIENNA Austria will find an exemption from acquiring to accept extra asylum-seekers underneath an EU relocation method, it reported on Tuesday, arguing that it has already taken in its reasonable share through Europe’s migration crisis.
“We think an exception is necessary for Austria for acquiring already fulfilled its obligation. We will examine that with the European Commission,” Chancellor Christian Kern explained to reporters after a weekly cupboard assembly. “We will send a letter a speedily as feasible and then get started discussions.”
The feedback are a new blow to a relocation method that would only include a portion of migrant arrivals to the European Union and has barely been carried out mainly because of opposition led by Eastern European international locations which includes Poland and Hungary.
